     Yeah how the bugger does Albini make it sound like somesort of metal grinder (not distortion at all, just CLLLLAAAAANGG) I know they make their own amps, but its just ridiculous. Im sure theres interweb boredom all about it somewhere

     Albini's sound on 1000 Hurt's is mean! Don't really like it that much on Greyhound. A mate of mine explained to me how he get's his sound at last year's ATP. Something to do with metal plectrums and certain size strings, blah blah blah! I got bored very quickly!!

      Yes, awesome sound!! I do find it can be pretty hard to tell the difference between the guitar and the bass on that album though (this is a good thing).
      
      I'm sure there's a few points on that album where the bass is panned left and guitar is panned right on that album?!?! Good ole production anarchists...
