      yeah, the first series is about a group of police in baltimore trying to organise a serious investigation into a high level drug dealer - and being obstructed by departmental politics. the main reason why it's received so much media attention is because it spends an equal amount of time looking at what motivates the drug dealers and drug users in the projects, and avoids making obvious moral judgements.
      
      the stories continue sometimes over four series, so there isn't a neat conclusion at the end of every episode.
      
      and yeah, some VERY attractive gentlemen, if jen gets the lovely JD Williams, i may have to be satisfied with this.
