     I can't believe that was a decade ago. I feel old.

   • '98 was a good year. It was my first proper gig-going year:
     
     - First whole weekend at Reading Festival incl. said Monster Magnet incident and Fu Manchu headlining the Dr Martens tent
     - Incubus at The Borderline (still up with the best)
     - Various gigs from the likes of Silverchair, Bush, Reef, Feeder

     Check this shit out...i am wearing my ozzfest 98 t-shirt. Had no idea it was 10 years since, just first out of the draw to wear for work last night and i've not changed since i got home.

    • when we got to mk we were just going through the entrance as pitchshifter were finishing their set, our coach driver got lost around MK.
      
      Reading 98 was my first camping experience, went with a work mate in his dad's tent which was ancient, i think he still had it from his youth, we had no mallet so had to hammer the pegs in with our boots, it was much fun, saw Garbage, wasn't fussed about seeing page and plant back then, also remember i saw H-Blockx. Can't remember who else without refering to line up

      yeah, agreed, it was an amazing line up - I know there's a lot of Pantera-hate in these forums but they were incredible that day. My fave bands though were the first and last - Pitchshifter in the rain and then Sabbath at the end.

      I went to that too.
      
      Highlights were Fu Manchu finishing the whole thing in the small tent, and the triple bill of Prodigy, Roni Size and Beastie Boys non-stop. Plus the Warped tent on the first day - Pitchshifterm, Unsane, The Specials?! Bizarre, but great.

      My girlfriend at the time passed out during QOTSA. We did to much and speed and the sun got us. It got her first. Then we saw a naked man get punched by a skinhead then the skinhead got punched by someone else. We all cheered.
