Is that the biker one? I watched that the other week. It was supposed to be funny but it just put me to sleep. :s

    • Went to the flicks to see Teeth Friday night. I have since realised vagina dentanta is the nemesis I was born to conquer.

Hardcore - George C Scott plays a religious man from bum-fuck America travelling to LA to find his under-age daughter who has run away from home to make $14 the hard way. From the writer of Taxi Driver, it's sleazy, engrossing and contains a great performance from Scott. That man knew how to get angry.

Yeah man, one of the best representations of a mushroom trip I've ever seen, the film actually made me feel high watching it. I quite enjoyed it but could see why it'd bore some.

    • The Bone Collector was on tv last night so i watched that, i have it on VHS but couldn't remember how it went. I also watched some QI and Hidden House which was pretty good.

    • I saw that was on, it's on my list of films to see but in no hurry to see.

    • Me neither, but it was on and I was bored. Turned out it was quite good.

    • I never watched the sitcom Two and a Half Men till now. I've been missing out. It's actually really funny. Also, I've avoided it for the last two years but, I have to admit to watching Big Brother. :s

I have just re-watched this - www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9BDnzCZ81o - 'Signed and Numbered', a 15 minute film by our Jack about rock poster art. Great stuff.

i hide behind cod intellectualism to defend my love of big brother. i think of it as an orwellian paradigm which also borrows from bentham's theories of panopticon. crack an obligatory joke about having one's head preserved in vinegar and...wham! instant justification.

in honesty, i just watch it to feel better about myself.:s:s

I'm sure that would be accepted if it wasnt an abject mockery of both.... in fact the prison system as viewed by Bentham has few similarities and lets be honest Orwell's vision would of screamed mercy as if rats had been thrust in its face if it had to sit through half an hour of that torrid rectal breach

    • Big Brother, for me, sums up all that is wrong with today's society. It makes me actually angry to be in the same room as it.
    • mikemike
    • Yeah but its a laugh isn't it? I watch it every year now, its great television despite the shitty parts (Davina etc) the public normally vote out the dickheads in the first few weeks.

I used to hate it, but its actually brilliant.

    • Trying to watch Teeth, it's a bit...unnerving.
