     i had an amazing idea on the tube the other night. we should release an ep entitled "mano a mano [ep]" and we're all on the cover wearing vests and white suits with real real thin gold chains and we're engaging in a complex three way shake.
     
     now because me and jack look a little bit like hall and oates (i'm hall, he's oates; simon is the sax man in the background wearing ray bans) i've decided that all the tunes should be mega covers of h+o tracks. we'll be doing "maneater" and "rich girl" (that's all...so not really an ep but we'll jam these tracks out to be about 15 mins each).
     
     of course we will be recording in bradford on avon with members of battlewitch/trebuchet guesting (uncredited) on "backing vox" and "keys" and maybe "the bass guitar" although i may provide a complete, tight rhythm section on my own using the "multitrack function" on the "mixing desk". i haven't decided yet.

    • I was going to reply to this straight away, but I waited until I got home, so I could type a reply whilst having a guitar on my lap and wearing a beige suit jacket.
      
      If we record PRIVATE EYES (the vocal tune played on the saXX maybe?) I'll do it. I could also sing, but I dont think Hall or Oates had a west country accent, although I think I saw John Oates walking around in Trowbridge once.
      HA HA! I just remembered that my two iPods are called Hall and Oates when I plug them into itunes.
