    • Zombies by their very nature are inconsistent!

    • I liked it. I thought it was slick.

I also enjoyed watching my friend Ben getting zombified. He worked on the programme and they roped him in as an extra. Ha.

    • I didn't see it, but I can tell you now that my zombie Big Brother idea would have been better. Podge and Andy both agreed, so it must be true.

Allow me to elaborate: Channel 4 announce they've decided to run a winter Big Brother, the launch show is on Friday 24th August. Much dismay amongst the press etc. It runs as normal for a week, and then the live eviction show on the Halloween is attacked by zombies. All of it shown like the normal programme. It's been far too long since anyone did a decent Halloween wind up.

    • Remember that one with Phillip Schofield years ago? it was rubbish.

I missed Dead Set due to giggage but will be watching it ASAP.

    • Nope. I remember the one with Sarah Greene and the poltergeist, that shit me up good and proper.

I may have meant that one.

    • PetePete
    • it is on 4od, but that wasn't working for me last night...
    • JenTheHenJenTheHen
    • You can just watch it here if you don't have 4od.

    • I found it boring and disappointing to be honest. I prefer the Romero 'classic' shuffling zombies really.

Last night I watched "Inland Empire" and can't work out if it is a work of genius or just plain crazyness. Most of the film feels like a very extended "Twin Peaks" dream sequence.

    • Last night's episode wasn't great. The first was better. I enjoyed all the amusing production humour as well as the zombie stuff. It's a bit like A Cock and Bull Story in that way, I can't imagine it being as good for people who aren't "in on the joke".

From about 1992? I nearly shat my pants watching that

Lindas into it and she had 'never heard of' Brooker, weird.

i too am of this school of thought.

And yeah further to my rant and someone elses very accurate post (sorry writing the messaeg now, can't check to say who it was). Yes, maybe fast zombies at first then slow shuffling seized up rigormortis zombies later. That's the best reason for holing up in doors at first, until they've slowed down a bit.

sigh... I want to make a zombie film. Though I fear it would be boring as I like the brooding 'coping with the zombocalypse' bits as much as the chopping off heads, munching on brains bits.

Apparently 'World War Z' is a bloody good read.

    • i think it was podge's cousin who wanted to make a zombie version of neighbours called "the dead kennedys"...

    • Me and my mate Scott once sat up all night after watching the original Night Of The Living Dead and story boarded a zombie film set in Sheffield. This was many years before Shaun of the Dead, so I think we deserve credit as pioneering the zombie come back. The film had a lot of explosions and some novel uses for power tools.
Oh, and slow zombies. We're purists.

    • Every. student. film. ever. is. a. fucking. rubbish. zombie. film.

I got sick of working on them at uni.

I will never make a zombie film, I think it's a highly overrated genre.
    • mikemike
    • I think its dull, the only good zombie films I've seen are that one in the shopping centre, Sean of The Dead and 28 Days Later and the sequel, the rest that people harp on about are booooooooooring.

This show is ok, not amazing, not shit as far as I can tell, the guy with the tache in the room with the evicted housemate is an awful actor, he spoke an obviously funny Brooker-written line and killed all the funny out of it. I'll probably watch it tonight but its yet to be that interesting.
    • GarethGareth
    • It is on 4OD, I have downloaded the 1st episode and will watch it later.

Dawn of the Dead is set in a shopping mall, original and re-make. Both excellent.

Yeah, but ours would have been good. We had no intention of making it unless we could a ludicrous budget, for starters. Sadly, all the notes got lost and it was not to be.
The fact that neither of us work in films has also not helped.

Mike, have you seen Brain Dead? That's the best zombie style film.
