decided to remove the part that kept breaking and got arrested for criminal damage.

      oops

if they had given me another 5 minutes up there I'd have had it sorted.

I think it is drinks in a few places around Kelham Island, starting in the Riverside, maybe popping in at the Fat Cat or the Kelham Island, then to the Shakespeare, maybe the Old Crown, then town somewhere then to the Academy.

      this sounds pretty awesome

Podge is my rock & roll idol

Lanzorotte is great. awesome weather & plenty of lounging about & walking. My musical tastebuds haven´t kicked in yet tho. But they will i´m sure.

Breaking the law! Breaking the law!

Last night was really good, good pubbage, and after a slow start the Academy turned out to be fun as well, once the beer kicked in and I got to dancing like a goon.

    • I had fun last night.

I hope Podge still had a wet crotch when he was arrested.

Did you spend a night in the cells?
    • mikemike
    • It was well funny they cuffed him and everything, we waited around for about 2 hours it seemed but I presume they let him go soon enough.

      My head fucking hurts!

    • Had a look round the Academy at the room we're playing and promptly lost everyone. Took the opportunity to head home and went to work this morning feeling right as rain.

No plans for the rest of the weekend now, chill tonight with some wine I reckon and play Oblivion.

    • I hope you all pointed out that the sign was broken when I walked past it on the way to the Riverside many many hours earlier.

    • To the police? They knew it was broken anyway, from what Podge says. The problem was that in trying to mend it, he made it more broken.
    • PodgePodge
    • actually, i removed the bit that kept causing it to jam, so although not 100% as it should be, it was working better than it was before i started messing.

i decided that being a smart arse with the fuzz and trying to explain this was a bad idea though, especially after seeing someone be taken off for a "full" search. i got away with a criminal damages charge and i think a couple of hours in the clink, not really sure what time i went in.

i walked past the sign on the way home too, i don't thing the police were too impressed with that as they kept a very close eye on me till I'd passed 7 spices, and it was still working fine albeit with 1 strip out of place.

    • I don't know, getting shafted for being a good samaritan, that's wank.

I wasn't tired this morning, probably something to do with it being the weekend, i went to bed at 11am, woke up at 6. So my plans to bus it to sheff have failed. As much as i don't want to stay in my own company it looks like that is what's going to happen. Fucking fuck.

I could drive i suppose, but there's a big part of me that can't be arsed. There's also a big part of me that needs to get out the house. I have been thinking about supersonic, next weekend innit, if i was to go i could only get to saturday though.
    • EggyEggy
    • actually looks like i'm working sunday next weekend now. There's only about 4 bands that i know and want to see anyway. But i will do supersonic one of these years.

I just watched the Roadburn vid again. Awesome. Melvins really were amazing, weren't they? Better than at Primavera, despite them almost making my ears bleed there.

    • I'm glad you fixed that sign it's been annoying me on the way to and from work for weeks. Not only are these huge corporations invading my field of vision but they're also intruding on my eardrums for no extra charge.
      you're an anti-capitalist urban commando.
      and a pissed up idiot.
    • PodgePodge
    • mainly the latter

Just watched this, it's a bit dark, i can vaguely make out some arms but that's about it.

I polished off my four pack of bombardier last night. Think i've found a bitter i actually enjoy drinking. I also had 4 packs of niknaks. I can still taste the rib 'n' saucy ones now even though i'm cleaned my teeth etc.
    • noonenoone
    • oh well , we all overdo it a bit sometimes mate.
You've just got to get it out of your system sometimes even if that does mean drinking 4 cans of bitter with a ' devil-may-care ' attitude.
    • EggyEggy
    • i don't like many bitters as the taste gets to me after about 2 pints. And lagers too gassy for me. Bombardier seems to fit in some sort of middle ground. Doesn't taste much like bitter but it is. Give me a proper pub pint of the stuff and i'll probably dislike it though, that's how it usually works.

I must be the only person in the world who'd rather drink newky brown in cans than bottles too.
    • noonenoone
    • I'd rather not drink newky ever , muddy puddle water is free so I don't see the point in paying 2.90 for a bottle of it.
Apart from that and Guinness I'm up for trying almost any beverage.

Get on the "Old Speckled Hen" mate, it's the shiznit.
First time I saw newky brown in can's I was amazed and had to buy loads incase I never saw them again.
