Its took me a few weeks to get used to not having reversing sensors on the back of the car - they were fitted as new on the mg, really handy when in need a bit of precision reserving but they do lead to idolness at times. when i first bought the GP i did consider briefly getting some sensors on the front.
We've recently bought a Ford Escort finesse. We called it Joey because it kangaroo's a little when accelerating. I reckon its an air filter problem, bit of a clean should do it *fingers crossed*. Its great though!
I've got a bit of a motor dilemma if you don't mind me sharing...
I put the car in for an MOT and intermediate service last month. Since then it's never been quite right, it tends to 'cough' and labour when you start up but sorts itself out once you get going. Then the other day it didn't start at all.
I'm torn between going back to the original garage and asking them to have a look, taking it elsewhere for a look, using my breakdown service, trying to fix it myself (I've done stage 1 maintenance with a view to full C&G so I know a bit) or just ignoring it and hoping it'll be ok.
my dad's had a bit of a motoring dilemma over the weekend, went down to my grans for an hour on sunday (only 5 minutes drive) and while he was parked up someone put a hole in his fuel tank with a screwdriver. He noticed there was a small puddle of fuel under the car before he got in it but it was only when he got home that he knew something was wrong as their was a trail of petrol behind the car.
It's only a small hole but it looks like they were attempting to get petrol out of the car but didn't quite succeed. We put a bowl under the car to catch the dripping petrol which fortunately wasn't coming out that fast, rang RAC up and he's temporary filled the hole. Now needs a new fuel tank which is going to take 3 weeks to be delivered by VW from germany so insurance job and hire car it is.
The police aren't aware of this type of crime but the RAC bloke said it's becoming common. Probably doesn't help as modern fuel tanks are plastic.
i just wrote off my car. i crashed into a tree and then a wall and then had to climb out the side of it because all its wheel were in the air... i wouldn't recommend icy roads to anyone
Shit dude. Ice is a bugger. I wrote off my first car on ice.
i think it was more the tree and the wall that wrote mine off but yeah, i'm no fan of ice. to be honest i had no idea what it was. I'd seen the gritter out on that stretch last night so it never clicked it was ice.
off into town now to get some new glasses (smashed by the airbag) a new phone (crushed by the car when it rolled) and hand in all my documents to the police.

the adrenaline is wearing off now and my chest really bloody hurts but the ambulance men gave me the full once over and said i was fine other than bruising and shock.
