    • In MBUK this month there is a review feature in the back for 3 bikes at £300 price tags. Might be a good read

And what not to do on your new bike, cost me a set of suspension forks:

You seem to have ignored my pic of a fucking Ralleigh Activator. It had suspension and EVERYTHING!
As a child I lusted after one of these. Needless to say I never got one and hence my rose tinted nostalgia of it.

    • the weight of an activator could send the world of its axis

Maybe thats what they are using to curve the streams of particles in the Hadron Collider

    • Just remembered mine was/is a diamond back topanga, in green/black. The one i had previous, which was stolen, was white/black, had very nice paintwork, wasn't a topanga though. Neither had suspension.

[ you just have to not call your boss a nob and start pulling wheelies round the office.

in my last full time job this was a daily occurrence amongst other things.
I'm not even joking to look cool either.
      ( I was the boss )

    • I just had a really good days riding at Aston hill and chicksands, did some downhill, some north shore, some dirt jumps and some dual slalom. Now I'm tired

    • i've not left the house today other than to pop to the shop. i'm not hungover at all, i'm *cough* relaxing before tomorrows ride, yeah thats it.
    • PodgePodge
    • also been looking at Bianchis. i might get a road bike.
    • mambamamba
    • I just went down to my local bike shop to see what they've got and ask their advice.

For my price range, he recommended Giant bikes

      Giant Yukon for £300

Or if I wanted hydraulic discs, the Giant Rainier for £350.

I figure I should be able to find it for £300 online but no such luck.
    • JackJack
    • both of those sound pretty good parts wise
    • PodgePodge
    • i was out riding with some one who was on a Giant Rainier, or at least i think it was, seemed ok, nothing fancy but it did the job.

buckled my back wheel last night launching my self off big rocks, it needed to go in the shop anyway to get the hub stripped and re-done

    • I think I'm going to go for the Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc.

I'm feeling in a decisive mood. Not quite decisive enough to order it though!
    • JackJack
    • thats a good bike mamba, i'd go for that one. A guy at work has been looking at the same one, good set of parts, nice frame so you can upgrade bits if you like eventually. Good disks etc Solid choice
    • mambamamba
    • Going to order it at lunchtime, or at least ring up and find out how long delivery will take as I'm away from Friday to Sunday.
