I'm slightly deaf

    • JackJack
    • Got my hearing test results back today at work. I'm slightly hearing impaired for someone of my age due to exposure to noise, probably through hobbies like gigs etc. Thye said I should just make sure to wear ear plugs as much as possible to prevent further damage. I always thought i was a bit deaf

Dave has tinnitus as a result of the same thing... you'll always find us wearing our fetching yellow jagermeister plugs (even better when we get glow in the dark ones!!) Fucked if im getting permanent ringing in me ears!!

    • 9+ years of being in a band has meant my ears have taken a battering. I suffer from tinnitus as a result, but, since the My Bloody Valentine gig 12 days ago, it's reached a whole new level and hasn't abated. I've been referred to E.N.T. but all they're going to do is tell me what I know already.

I was a fool for not asking for a pair of the free ear plugs they were handing out at the Apollo. I've bought myself some "pro" ones now. The damage limitation starts here - fuck knows why it's taken me so long.

you'd have been better off going to see a specialist in ears than these smelly drunks.

    • I think I'm going deaf in one ear thanks to driving on the A1 with the window down every bloody day.
Customers ask me questions and I'm just smiling or going "yeah.......what?" to them

    • i blame people mumbling as much as loud gigs, people don't annunciate these days. the kids at work are bloody terrible for it
    • EggyEggy
    • the lad who works down the same aisle as me mumbles. He talks to me while he's working, but unless he's facing me i can't tell what he's on about, there's only so many times i can say "eh?"
