Did you know that the band and the album were named after a 1998 sega beat-em up (Rival Schools: United By Fate)? It was basically kids decking each other on school property in the style of SF2/Tekken, it was awesome!

High Contrast with my new improved speakers with 2 granite chopping boards underneath them.

the rival schools stuff is pretty cool. but this gets my vote for what i most wish i was listening to.

i think it may be summery enough for some medium-school dnb of the dj marky variety...

It was good enough to get Meanderthal out of my cd player (well my ipod) for a week or so.

Both have now been superseded by Brant Bjork. Awesome!

      It is Brant Bjork Weather.

Brant's new album is pretty tasty! Perfect for nice hot weather!

      The Freeks - The Freeks
      Mudhoney - Superfuzz Bigmuff

    • Skynyrd.

And I was just listening to Rival Schools about ten minutes back, they're alright. That game, Rival Schools 2, United by Fate on the PS1 was one of my favourite beat em ups EVER. The super combos were by far the most ridiculous I'd ever seen at that time, loved it.

I don't like to quote Kerrang but... "best band to see in a club in Britain"

or something like that. Awesome live band.
