Does no one have weekends any more?

    • Spent all of yesterday looking at ways of leaving the country in order to avoid doing the essay that's due tomorrow.

Blitzed it today whilst watching the grand prix in the uni library. I ARE WIN.

Also, a friend asked me to recommend a cheap bass, I told him to get the one I've got. He said "I've seen how much you drink, any instrument that can survive that is almost certainly worth its price tag".

    • I had a weekend just gone, I woke up at 10 friday night went to work at my new starting time of midnight, finished work at my new finishing time of 8am, went home, didn't feel tired enough to go to sleep despite getting in bed for a couple of hours, went to watch chezzy lose their first home game of the season that's to that useless referee Mason. Went home, got a call from a mate and went back down chezzy, stayed out until god knows what time and exceeded 30 hours awake on not much caffiene at all. That was the 2nd time in a week I stayed away for over 24 hours. On sunday I felt shit all day, then went to work.

Not a massively exciting weekend, but i did have one!

This coming one is slightly better as seeing Deftones before I attend work on Friday night, then saturday I'm more than likely off to Stoke to see Minus the bear, other options are an Anchor reunion in chezzy (rock pub from when i first started going out), Monster Magnet at corp, or more further a field Charger in Bradford. If i wasn't doing anything and feeling highly adventurous I might have gone to check out Coliseum in Leeds but obviously not.

    • that wasn't a rant it was just a long post. ;)

apart from the obvious mass gig clashing...

I've actually got plans for most of my up and coming nights off for the next few weeks, woohoo!

    • funnily enough according to google it's quicker for me to get to bradford than stoke. but it's also quite possible i can grab a lift to stoke.

    • I had an un-sccuessful date yesterday, worked and washed the car today. Band later. How tedious.

    • I've had a sweet weekend. Went out on Friday to Watford and saw Diesal King who do a nice Down/Alabama Thunderpussy thing.

Went to the Unicorn yesterday, played Holy Diver on acoustic. Watched members of various bands covering Mastodon, Weedeater, Sleep, Black Sabbath and more all on acoustic. Then went to the Big Red with Hugh Astrohenge and two Slovak girls, fun was had

    • I went home to The Motherland (a.k.a. Coventry) - did a bit o' early Xmas shopping and had a tasty Sunday roast with Ma and Pa.

Went out on Sat night and fell asleep in the pub at 11.30 after two pints.

      ROCK AND ROLL.

    • I got taken to Fowey in Cornwall for the night by my beautiful wife where she'd booked an amazing B&B and took me for a cracking meal in a converted lifeboat shed. Bit of shopping today in Truro then back home...pretty awesome all round

    • Went to Monster Magnet in Reading last night, and now I'm hungover. I'm really not sure I can face going to London for Torche tonight, but I'm sure I will.

    • Good luck with the foot Mazz. Maybe its witches foot?

I'm tempted by Torche especially with Part Chimp supporting but I might need to save some pennies as my car needs some new brakes

    • I thought that..I have managed to get my first ever working from home out of it. The irony being that I will probs get more done at home.

    • I went to Edinburgh this weekend - out drinking on Friday night followed by a wedding on Saturday. Now got the day off and back in Sheffield. Torche tomorrow.

Edinburgh is a beautiful place, I'd like to go back and spend some more time there. Too many cashmere shops though. Best bit - vegetarian fish (it was haloumi in batter) n chips with mushy peas from a pub we went to.
