    • Tomorrow at practice I shall be worshipping my 77 or 78 Marshall JMP50 non master volume head...fucking lovely piece of kit though I have to use it with a powerbrake as it's so damn loud!!! Just the Marshall cranked sounds awesome with just a pedal to add sustain for leads.

no...no valves...some weird arrangement of wires, a bundle of electronic cylinders, a spider web complete with spider skeleton, a tissue, some stuff.

ah yes jack...i forgot about that...i'll speak to him at grifter mantra if he's there and see if i can meet up with him to hand over the goods.

    • go on...i'm a proper pedal geek.

once my head gets fixed, i'll try find a decent cab somewhere...it used to go through an h&h thingy and an ancient leak hifi speaker that weighed a tonne and had the cone ripped after about five uses...other than that...i have a thirty watt marshall praccy amp at me mam's by the sea.

      my gig setup is...

      behringer tuner
      russian muff
      digitech hothead distortion

at home and taking up space or used with bass.
      boss tremolo
      behringer vintage distortion
      rocktron big crush compressor
      behringer hell babe wah

all played through by a big sassy immorally forested semi acoustic.

    • I finally tried out an Orange Rockerverb 100 head after many years coveting the Orange stuff and going on to my wife how much I wanted one...didn't like it at all!!! I'm sticking with the Marshalls I have as it made me realise how much they rule.

Pedal wise I keep it nice and simple...a boss stage tuner, Boss V-wah that I got as it has a really good Cry Baby setting as well as Vox, Morley, Univibe...etc, was cheaper than a Cry Baby and doesn't get scratchy pots and I have a Boss Super Overdrive for solos as my rhythm sound isn't that heavy.

    • I will worship my Sunn 15 watter when it arrives. I quite liked my old Marshall stack, but it was just an amp, and it never got the use it deserved.
    • tom.atom.a
    • yeah the oranges are strange amps it seems to depend on what sort of guitar your playing through them as well as to how its sounds.
the rockerverb is the more modern sounding head and is voiced with a bit more gain than the ad series.
