    • Anyone here a fan?

Just one of those amazing bands that have gone from being incredibly heavy and horrible (Breathing and Dying In This Place) to just breathtakingly epic but still maintaining a horrible harshness to the sound (Burning Out The Memories and Insomniac Doze).

Their new split with Jesu is the heaviest they've been for ages.

    • I saw them supporting somebody or other at the Underworld a long time ago. Knocked my socks off, they were so unexpectedly wonderful. Rushed out the next day and bought two CD's. Not got their latest due to reasons of utter skintedness but it's on the (long) list

Might of been Bossk back in 05.

    • I've got 'All The Footprints...' and 'A Dead Sinking Story'. Both great albums. Saw them at Junction 7 in Notts years ago and they were spot on. Not really checked out any of their latest stuff though.

    • Saw them live at Mogawi/Shellac ATP a few years back. Absolutely brilliant. The only record I have is 'A Dead Sinking Story', which rarely gets any airplay these days.

Strangely, I found they get really repetative on CD. I all ends up sounding a bit samey.

Are the later records better, in terms of variation?

Yep, I had that problem with '...Story' too. Try Insomniac Doze.

    • I think i saw them at the last ATP... but i genuinely can't remember a single thing about them... says more about my performance than theirs though.

    • I love that one song, you know the one. I think it's on Dead Sinking Story, no idea what it's called. I had it on the 60 songs building records comp.

    • I love the singers scream, but his singing voice is getting better too.

Random rumour, I read on Holy Moly's mailout this week that when Linkin Park play live, Chester Huggington has either his screams OR his singing on a backing tape and mimes one or the other, he can't do both at the same time, poor little lamb, and apparently alot of the guitars are mimed too, brilliant.

No, can't have been as I don't think I've ever seen Bossk. Upon consideration I think it might have been Keehaul
