   • Hello. I have booked tomorrow off on leave. I'm going to go to Worcester and visit the Cathedral and stand where King charles II stood during the Battle of Worcester. I will also pay homage KING JOHN in his tomb. I'm also going to purchase some books with my book tokens. I have decided to book myself into a hotel overnight.
     
     Have any of you catz been to Worcester? If so do you recommend any YE OLDE ALE HOUSES for me to visit in the evening? I'm going check on a pub finder website but I thought I would consult my learned friends first.

   • i once played worcester at rugger and got 7 shades of shit kicked out of me. the soil in worcester is very sandy, so you may want to take some samples.
     
     my family also had a castle near worcester until we lost our right to it.

    • Guess I'm bit late for this..... Worcester is pretty local for me. Nice place, just lost a geat little pub venue (the Pig & Drum). Loads of good pubs along the Tything/ Barbourne Road (turn right as you leave the train station). Good ales at the Nelson which is near the cathedral
