    • This was mint, especially amusing when two total knobs were ejected from the gig by command of Buzzo for being idiots down front (pit action without the pit etiquette... for shame).

One looked like he needed to go home and cry into his Mudvayne records, the other sporting a 'more punk than thou' kinda look. They got a lot of flak... poor bastards, but it was deserved.

Melvins were ace, especially the rendition of 'Boris'. Big Business were also equally awesome, playing a few really rockin' new songs. Porn were 'meh'. Monster Killed by Laser were utterly spot on, total prog mastery. :)

Good to see the 9hz crew out (Carey, Pete and Jen...) Sorry I didn't chat more, the beer had gone straight to my head after skipping dinner. Ahem...

    • I had noticed those three guys earlier in the night and dubbed them "punk", "nu-metal" and "grunge". They were like a badly confused teenage history of alternative music.

They were total dicks and they needed to leave.

Melvins were awesome as ever. I wonder if they ever play a bad show? Because every time I see them they're as tight as a gnat's vagina.

    • that were ace.

big business (once they got going, and the sound was sorted out) were my highlight.

being stopped by security with sarah going in, because "dragonforce are next door" was the lowlight.

Drew - I cant make it, but will you be at The Bossk show in Leeds? Could I pick a Melvins one up then??? Please shagger?

Yup, we shall sort it out at some point. Not sure if i can make the Bossk show yet, possibly other things may be going off....
Last night was a total treat. I really enjoyed Porn, obvioulsy a set more in the vein of the new record with Merzbow, which is fine by me. I think they had been playing ambiently for about 5 minutes before anyone clocked that they had started. It built up to some proper fruity duel drumming fun anyways.
MKBL were on awesome form. They have changed quite a bit since they got back together. A lot more prog than before. In fact they sound pretty much like King Crimson, which works for me.
Big Business were super sweet as were Melvins.
All in all a good night out.
