Funnier than Mike listening to me when he washes up. I like to listen to Dillinger while I cook. Might explain why I'm rubbish at it.

    • I'm glad i went to boza tonight, saw some friends i've not seen for a couple of years, some old school buddies (i have on facebook as friends) who i didn't know i'd see, and my cousin. That plus 4 pints of guinness has made me feel quite happy!

I hate when this happens, I never know what to say and they always act as if they were your best friend and you have somehow failed at life.
Same goes for some of the ponces at our school aswell.

fast music is good for things like that, my room has had the best tidy in years and it only took a fraction of the normal time

Saturday morning - read & finished book, cut hair

That's how i tend to feel, also when i add an old friend on facebook - i don't like talking about what i haven't done in the last 10-15 years. Fortunately last night wasn't particularly like that, just a couple of people who haven't done that much - other than get married and have a kid or two. Bolsover's a bit rough, hence why despite it only being a mile or two from my house i hardly go there.

I'm off to manchester in about an hour, i reckon the drive will take 1.30-2 hours, at least being saturday evening the roads should be too bad, but over the tops isn't the quickest route. Shame i'm going to manc when virtually everyone else will be in sheffield or nottingham but that's the way the cookie goes round.

All the best to Jen for her birthday bash!

    • I didn't go on Rita at the Towers, went on a few years ago and got sick of the queues this time.

I got offered hard drugs and gay sex Friday night. I refused both.

    • I really enjoyed *shels last night. Roadhouse is a decent little venue too. Not too disimilar from the casbah but a bit neater and a bit smaller. Bought a *shels t-shirt, and a Latitudes CD.

Found the venue easy enough, then got in the car to come back, checked the map, turned left and found that the road was closed, so thought i'd stick it the main roads and just follow the signs out - only i didn't exactly see any signs i was hoping for, thought i was on the right road, then fucked up and got lost en route to stockport. Ended up coming macclesfield, buxton, cat and fiddle route home, didn't care one bit though as it wasn't as if i'd anything better to do than drive on twisty roads in the middle of the night while listening to robert johnson.

    • I went to the pub on friday night, fairly relazed drinking for a mates birthday.
Saturday viewed a house that we might move to then went to Hyde Park to watch Eric Clapton, lovely weather, loads of hot girls out and about and much better than I expected, free tickets help. Clapton ended with John Mayer jamming and sherll crow on vocals doing crossroads, was actually quite an amazing moment.
Then today rode my mountain bike for the last time before I head to the Alps, I'm getting faster downhill and really loving riding again.

    • Today I got in from delivering and was just about to clock out when the fire alarms went off (again!) so got paid an extra 45 minutes for standing in the car park. Whcih was nice.
I especially enjoyed how all the staff stood as far away from the store as possible yet all the customers (this was about 10 minutes before closing btw) are stood at the doors. I wonder if they'd have done that if there was a real fire.

Also went out for a curry with some of the girls from work tonight. Good times.
