    • Can't remember if I'm busy, but thought I'd point this out-

      quote:
MAY BANK HOLIDAY 23/24/25 May 2008

Featuring over 20 artists and numerous DJs, playing new folk, old folk
and folk-inspired pop on the late May Bank Holiday weekend at
Sheffield's new live music venue 'The Shakespeare'. The music ranges
from the veteran political folk of Leon Rosselson to the deranged charm
of loop-meister David Thomas Broughton to the beautiful balladry of
      James Yorkston and HMS Ginafore.

      Day Tickets £10
      Weekend Tickets £25

I'd quite like to see David Thomas Broughton but ten quid seems a fair whack to see loads of people I've never heard of.
    • PodgePodge
    • and its £3 a pint in there.

    • Mike, you've got a Yacht Club gig in Lincoln on the Sunday, as I recall... what am I now, your diary?

    • IS THIS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR MOTHER? ALWAYS THE SAME YOU YUTZ.

Yes I do, DTB would be great in such a small place but fucked if I'm paying a tenner for it on reflection.

    • The Shakespeare is a brill place but as we have found out when looking for venues they charge a fair bit for gigs, probably why this is so much. Shame, it's so close to my flat as well.

We should go, but just not for this.
