    • Used £110 of paypal funds to buy a new Focusrite audio interface which won't work with my computer due to some fucking stupid hardware conflict.

I also bought whisky yesterday which is helping with the above.

    • Waltham watch (c1942) off ebay for about £60 because I don't think I've ever owned a proper wind up watch before and it looks all refined and shit.

PCI USB card to try and solve my interface problems mentioned above.

And as it's my birthday today, I treated myself to 12 months road tax. Partay time.

    • I was out of the house before 9 on a Sunday for the first Newbury car boot sale of the year. Here's my vinyl haul...

      Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
      Genesis - Wind & Wuthering
Yes - Close To The Edge
      Jethro Tull - Stormwatch
      Jethro Tull - Under Wraps
Steve Hackett - Please Don't Touch!
      Cream - Wheels of Fire
      Rush - Presto
Rush - A Show of Hands
      Hall & Oates - Rock'N Soul Part 1
      Hall & Oates - H2O

      All for about a tenner.

    • I think that describes most car boot sale vinyl I see every time I go, some crackers in there, that Yes album is their best isn't it?

I believe so. I'm only just really getting into the whole prog thing. Luckily some bloke seem to be getting rid of his whole collection.

    • I always think I should listen to more prog
    • mambamamba
    • Hopefully some of these will stop me listening to Genesis - Foxtrot on repeat like I have been the last few weeks.

    • Have you listened to much King Crimson? I think they are my faves, so many ideas on all their releases, 'In The Wake of Poseidon' and 'Red' are perhaps the distant relations of doom I reckon.
    • mambamamba
    • A bit, but not got any albums. I will keep a look out.
    • mikemike
    • Weirdly I've never seen a KC album at a car boot, but every other prog band I have!
    • GarethGareth
    • If you're going to King Crimson, I heartily recommend 'Discipline'.

Edit - got the album name wrong due to hangover.

    • Avoid Heartbeat though, it's daft pop and happened years after the good stuff with less of the key members.
