      Bands you'd like to see?
Church of Misery (I know it probably wont happen Jack but just saying)
      Serpent Venom
      Latitudes
      Groan
      Manatees

      Things that could be improved?
      More than no pole dancers

      Venue?
Bigger, but only a little bit. Not the Underworld cos it fucking stinks. Maybe the Scala, that seems to be a popular place at the mo.

      What's Koko like?

      Purple Turtle?

      Cost?
Keep it as cheap as is possible. Obvious but it's key I reckon.

      Date?
Your forward aren't you! Alright pick me up at 7:30 on Friday, I'll wear something slutty

      etc etc, would all help
How did stuff like set times / changovers go? Were there too many bands on each day or was it ok?

Depending on money and venue it could be good to have a dedicated stage manager to keep the bands in check.

    • Difficult to say as my venue knowloedge of London is limited.

I thought numbers of bands was ok...good value for money.

      Bands to suggest:
      Medamaki
      Church of Misery
Stone Axe (apparently they want to come over at some point Jacko and a Stone Axe/Grifter tour has been mooted)
      Black Pyramid
      Firebird
      Gorilla
    • MazzMazz
    • Winnebago Deal
Some kind of pub rock covers band staffed by 60 year old musicians
Some kind of corpse wearing black metal band…they don’t have to be any good.
Groan with smoke machines and pole dancers that I’m allowed to touch to add extra sex to the show.

    • I think having it around the time of Roadburn is still a good idea. I know you tried to get some of the Roadburn bands this year, but maybe have a word with Walter to see if you can get any inside knowledge on who might be playing next year so that you can get in there earlier to try and fit it in with some of the touring schedules.

Yep, I think I may have suggested this to Jack...plus the owner of the Gaff was impressed enough to offer some extra help next year so I think the venue is pretty good (only let down slightly by crap parking but that's no biggie)

Catapault The Smoke from Sweden are very good.
      Dixie Witch
      Widows from Nottingham
      Howlin' Widow from Northern Ireland
      Thunderhorse
      Pig Iron
Alternative Carpark from Alton are prett good (shit name though)
      Ramesses
      W.A.S.P!!!

    • Don't be put off by suggesting bigger bands, the idea is to take it up a level so the aim is to get a few bigger headline names. I'll be talking to someone else soon about working on this, so I have some help

      Motery Crue

      Roadsaw
Saw Widows the other day. They were pretty cool.
Get some oddballs in as well - Bodukwe were a welcome breath of fresh/voodoo air.
Old Mayer as well. They were good when I saw them.
      Pombagira
      Dopefight again
      GU Medicine

    • I like Low Sonic Drift...they'd add a nice touch of prog/stoner/thrash and Lords Of Bastard are amazing...long way for both of them to come though.

      The Brought Low
      Wino
      Cathedral
Acid King (just got into them at long last)
      Sons Of Merrick
      Quireboys
      Entombed
      Zoe (from France)
      Supersuckers
      Nashville Pussy

    • Good suggestions coming in, thanks all. No idea is too silly, just fire away, need to push whats possible.

Acid King are a fantastic band, I just read your review actually Ollie. One of the things worth reading up on is where the lyrics come from, its all about this guy called Ricky Kasso who was 'the acid king'

Yeah I did read that about Acid King Jack. I did hear an album a few years ago and didn't think much to it but after eharing the new reissue I'm going to go back and check out the older stuff.
