    • For all the list haters...

As the year end approaches and after another great gig last night I thought I'd have a look through the gigs I've been to in 2008 on last.fm and pick out the best.

      In no particular order:

      - Airbourne at the Oxford Zodiac in February. Loudest gig ever.
      - Kerbdog at Camden Barfly in August for nostalgia and awesomeness.
      - Torche in Camden with Pelican. Amazing.
      - Torche in Oxford with Isis. Equally amazing.
      - Brant Bjork & The Bros w/ Suns of Thunder in Camden and Southampton. Both equally great. BB gets better every time I see him.
      - Extreme at Southampton Guildhall. Only great show I've ever seen at this shit venue.
      - The Night Marchers at Bristol Cooler. Having seen them a few days before in Oxford, I enjoyed it more in Bristol as I knew a few songs!
      - Ninehertz alldayer. Great day out and Gentlemans Pistols were the perfect end.
      - ROADBURN. So many great performances but it was Earthless that really stood out for me.

ninehertz alldayer, Underworld (party down the front for GP was the gig highlight of the year)

Bad Date - Cremorne (Big Si's birthday do)

White Fang - Peach and Pear cafe (for it's weirdness - middle of the day, boiling hot, sat on a pavement listening to doom drinking milkshakes while the band struggle to even fit in the cafe.)

Pilgrim Fathers - Corp (supporting Nebula)

Brant Bjork and the Bros - Old Angel (old school set, best ever BB)

Jucifer - Corp (supporting Today is the Day)

kevorkiansolution - Grapes (come back gig, with visuals, insane)

Black Cobra - Hop and Grape (supporting The Sword and Saviours who were both a bit of a let down)

Breaking Colts, Celebrity Love Crisis - Manchester Retro Bar (loud)

Pilgrim Fathers, Gentlemans Pistols, Dirtyblood, Threads - Redhouse (our January gig, what a line up)

Acid Mother's Temple - Shakespeare (weird)

Earth - Manchester Zion Arts Centre (last but certainly not least, absolutely mesmeric)
