Weekend maybe?

    • Lack of enthusiasm for SSS is one thing - I can understand that, they're not exactly my thing but I did enjoy them when i saw them - but lack of enthusiasm for a bandstand daytime gig is just miserableness for miserableness sake.

      ;)

Well done though, you've just coined Kev's mantra.

    • I can only think of one response to you two.
      Fuck off .
Anything else would just be inappropriate.
I've seen a fair few gigs in this bandstand over the years and it's not worth frigging yourself over to be honest. It sounds a million times better than the small room at Corp or Casbah though , obviously.

    • The fact sss are more aggro/negi than most of the trash bands around is one of my favourite things about them,
I'm no fanboy by any means but I think they're good at what they do.
      Also what's up with trashgig?
Never been to anything they've put on but the line ups for the shows i've seen advertised are always cool and people i know who have been to their shows/ played for them have enjoyed it.

    • I never noticed them being more any more aggro or negi than anybody else , just think they're bad at playing their bad songs.

That is surely the Chester bandstand not 5 minutes from my parents house?
    • noonenoone
    • I didnt know you were from Chester?
I lived there for 2 years. Did you live in one of the posh houses on the riverside?
I used to work in Zizzis up the road and the skate shop.
    • GarethGareth
    • Yeah, me and Amy B both. My folks house is a few from the meadows, left and over the river from that picture. Zizzis doesn't ring any bells but I remember Route 1 on Bridge st. by the cross. That skate shop?
    • noonenoone
    • thats right.
zizzis is the Italian eatery near the amphitheatre almost opposite the big guitar shop.
It's like ASK but double the price. I washed dishes with kurds amongst other menial tasks. Very hard work but a lot of fun working there.

Oh yeah, used to be an Indian called Shere Khans. I know where you mean now.
Haven't been down to the river in ages, just walk over it on the way to town. I don't remember seeing anyone in the bandstand either, though I must have done at some point.

    • I'm staying in tonight, two hours sleep has left me with a tired headache and i can't be arsed with socialising, probably watch a filum and have an early night. Win the lottery if i'm lucky.

    • Rolled out of bed about 5 this afternoon after the usual Friday night 'couple of drinks'.
    • EggyEggy
    • i slept for half an hour while lottery was on, then when MOTD was on, then kept falling asleep afterwards, went to bed at 5am and still managed to sleep til 10.
